Case studies
What PROWL found — and what it rejected.
Two molecules already on sale, and the new applications the public record supports for each. Every figure traces back to the evidence — and the leads that failed are here alongside the ones that survived, because the rejections are the part that shows the method works.
Established chemical
81 candidate markets, 39 the client already served — and the top-ranked lead was wrong
One established chemical. The highest-scoring lead turned out to be the client's own existing business seen from the other end, and PROWL rejected it on its own evidence. The second survived the same cut.
Sophorolipids20 candidate markets — and the three facts that decide the best one are published nowhere
A biosurfactant read across the whole public record. Eight suppliers confirmed in the EU register in a day, one very strong demand signal — and three decisive questions that came back empty from every source, which is exactly what made them worth paying for.
How are these case studies anonymised?
The client is never named, and neither is any company whose information appears only because it sits in a public register. The figures, the sources and the reasoning are unchanged - what is removed is identity, not evidence.
Client work is published only with written permission.
